Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, who was nurtured by a family of faith and was supported by his parents. He was the oldest of four children born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina, and the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace on her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is comprised of all members of the family. Reverend Ken the brother of Ken is the beloved minister of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM), where several gospel artists are among the top-selling artists worldwide.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon has chosen to follow her father's model of sharing the gospel of God with the world and is also known as CSO, she is an accomplished gospel singer who has won awards and is a an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome went to Edo College and was awarded an award from Bendel State University to study architecture. Additionally, he holds an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the campus where he sensed God called him to become a minister for the Lord.
